    Position Summary


    Provides a variety of critical operational support services to Claims Personnel, its business partners and its clients for several applications, to ensure optimal use of the systems





    • Identifies and resolves business-related problems and issues with assigned applications and work processes. Escalates problems beyond level of expertise to manager or more experienced business/technical staff.
    • Participates in the analysis and evaluation of claim systems, equipment and programs; assists in developing system test criteria and participates in the testing and implementation of new and existing programs and procedures.
    • Identifies business unit needs for process change and system improvements.
    • Identifies opportunities for process and technology changes that will increase efficiency and service quality.
    • Researches, analyzes and reports all new defects, issues, work items and system enhancements. Develops workarounds for defects as appropriate.
    • Participates in software Release Management for system enhancements, maintenance and or emergency releases. Determines the impact and provides recommendations on which defects and work items should be included in the releases.
    • Contributes to communications in support of the product’s defects, enhancements, FAQ’s etc to Broadspire and Crawford business partners where appropriate.
    • Identifies, creates, & documents Pre Go-Live, Go-Live and Post Go-Live deployment activities and tasks.
    • Provides guidance and/or training to Claim Offices on existing claim systems and procedures.
    • Confers with and provides “how to” information to the customers in utilization of the application, within areas of expertise, to ensure that customers optimize the value of the application.
    • Manages and administers the setup and maintenance of users, module security groups and the security grid.
    • Creates, updates, maintains manuals and provides assistance/input for FASC Operation Manuals.
    • Executes system testing for system changes/enhancements.
    • Delivers quality and timely results while meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements, i.e. customer support, based on company business needs and objectives.
    • Participates in special projects or performs duties in other areas as requested

    • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A minimum of three years of technical support or related experience with at least one year of experience related to the insurance industry or support of a claim system.f education and experience.
    • A working knowledge of at least one insurance industry field (e.g. underwriting, claim, operations, etc) to be able to determine user requirements; a basic understanding of the insurance industry and Broadspire business practices, to ensure that solutions correspond to business needs.
    • Ability to receive ideas, thoughts and information. Ensures comprehension of what is being said; asks questions to achieve understanding, as appropriate.
    • Ability to concentrate on detailed assignments and to work independently, even with distractions.
    • Reviews work for accuracy and completeness.
    • Ability to create and maintain a positive customer service relationship and to identify and understand customers' needs. Maintains two-way communication to deliver products and services that meets customer expectations.
    • Ability to communicate ideas and information verbally, both one-on-one and in meetings, in a manner that is clear and concise. Presents prepared information in a manner that holds customers' interest and addresses their needs and concerns. Able to adjust presentation styles to correspond to the audience being addressed.
    • Ability to present written information in a clear, concise and organized manner. Writes technical information so that it can be understood by non-technical audiences.
    • Ability to manage own time, activities & resources. Identifies work activities needed to accomplish objectives & coordinates those activities to deliver desired results. Prioritizes multiple activities & projects.
    • Ability to gather and analyze facts and data and to draw correct inferences from the information.
    • Assesses alternatives and presents logical solutions to problems.
    • Ability to influence events to achieve results. Originates independent action rather than passively reacting to events as they occur.
    • Ability to make practical, timely and realistic decisions after considering possible outcomes as well as corresponding risks.
    • Able to use reason, even when dealing with sensitive topics.
