Position Summary



The Account Administrator sets up and maintains client account information in the Client Information System (mainframe) and CMS2 (windows based) claims systems. The Account Administrator also organizes, writes, and disseminates administrative information for client accounts in the form of service fee billing parameter documents and other instructional memoranda.





  • Analyzes extensive client account information submitted by the Account Executives for accuracy prior to entering and releasing that information into the Client Information System and/or CMS2.
  • Oversees and proofreads initial input and revisions to all account documentation and memoranda.
  • Analyzes pricing and billing information prior to entering in the claims system.
  • Creates service fee billing documents for new accounts.
  • Maintains service fee billing documents as required by account renewals, terminations, and miscellaneous changes.
  • Sets up service fee installment billing for new and renewing accounts.
  • Works with Account Executives to resolve problems associated with documents and/or Lotus Notes databases.
  • Tracks down solutions to problems encountered by branches in claims handling, system functions, check issuance, and billing.
  • Assists branches in identifying clients and insureds.
  • Assists other home office departments on matters concerning billing rate discrepancies, program number problems, check coding/distribution difficulties, branch errors, and other inquiries.
  • Administers association accounts.
  • Assists with special projects and performs other duties as requested.
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct.




  • Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, business administration, insurance, or other related field.
  • Familiarity with general insurance, adjusting, healthcare management terminology.
  • Previous experience preferably in market administration or sales support function.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
