Position Summary



Under general supervision the Business Coordinator supports other team members to improve and implement operational processes, procedures, and system development projects.   Professionally and accurately designs project-related documents, establishes and maintains project files to ensure document control throughout the project life cycle.  Conducts research and organizational studies, and assists with developing product backlog and user stories, including assisting with prioritization. Makes recommendations to improve assigned area's effectiveness and efficiency.





  • Provide organizational and task support to any projects undertaken by the team with the focus being on improving productivity.  Including the development of reports, data analysis, developing workflow diagrams, user stories and performing time studies.
  • Works in partnership with business representative to develop business automation request requirements for new or existing system design. Assists with the resolution of open business issues related to system design.
  • Reports status of business plans on an ongoing basis, identifies and makes recommendations
  • Assists in research and observation of manual and/or automated systems, writing procedures and performing time studies, as necessary.
  • Assists business representatives in compliance and effectiveness audits of standardized models, procedures, and system requirements, utilizing existing auditing procedures
  • Keeps supervisor and team members informed verbally and in writing of activities and problems within assigned area of responsibility; refers matters beyond limits of authority and expertise to manager for direction.
  • May assist in training on new processes, products, or procedures being implemented. May participate in documenting training materials (user guides)
  • Participate in scheduling and conducting user acceptance testing and test cases
  • Build and maintain relationships within the organization and within project teams
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct




  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in information gathering and documenting and/or problem solving.
  • 1-2 years’ experience required
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, etc.
  • Demonstrated sound skills in organization, fact gathering, defining objectives, and determining alternatives.
  • Effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of technology and how to relay business needs to the technology team. Ability to analyze problems, develop hypotheses and make sound recommendations.
  • Ability to pay attention to details.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Highly motivated, creative, articulate, results oriented
  • Flexible and able to operate in fast paced, changing environment
  • Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines
  • Ability to grasp complex issues quickly
  • Outstanding communication skills
